Dr. Amna Plummer
DVM & Practice Owner
Dr. Amna Plummer was born and raised in the Houston area and has been practicing veterinary medicine for more than two decades. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 2000 and purchased Critter Care Animal Hospital in 2004. Her background includes experience in emergency and internal medicine, which helps her provide steady guidance for pets needing both routine and urgent care. Dr. Plummer is also USDA-accredited to assist with pet travel health certificates. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, and traveling.
Dr. Keidra Carmen
DVM
Dr. Keidra Carmen is a Houston-area native who earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 2008. She joined Critter Care Animal Hospital in 2010 and brings a strong interest in veterinary surgery and comprehensive medical care. Dr. Carmen is known for her thoughtful approach and dedication to helping pets heal comfortably. She is also USDA-accredited to support interstate and international travel documentation for pets. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities and time with her family.
Monique Virgo-Pearson
Practice Manager
Monique Virgo-Pearson helps lead the day-to-day operations at Critter Care Animal Hospital, ensuring that clients and pets feel welcomed from the moment they arrive. She supports communication, scheduling, and the overall experience of care for families throughout Sugar Land and nearby communities.
